Privacy and Cloud Synchronization

Qardio takes the privacy and safety of our users very seriously. We do not disclose, or in any way share, the personal information of our users to any third party without a user’s explicit consent. Qardio’s proprietary cloud platform was designed with security as a priority and allows us to provide services that would not be possible with the use of a single mobile device.

There are multiple benefits of cloud storage for our users, including but not limited to:

  • Should a user’s mobile device be lost or damaged, data can quickly and easily be recovered. The ability to utilize TouchID and/or FaceID in the Qardio App provides additional protection in the event of theft.
  • Users can utilize multiple devices for taking and accessing measurements without having to manually transfer the data from one device to another.
  • The amount of space occupied by the Qardio App and its data on a mobile device is minimized. For example, QardioCore can record ECG/EKG traces for up to 24 hours on a single charge. Without the ability to store and process data in the cloud, the amount of data collected would quickly exceed the capabilities of a single mobile device.
  • Processing data in the cloud allows for the use of smart algorithms to provide actionable insight. These algorithms are continuously assessed and updated ensuring users receive the most accurate and useful information available.

All Qardio and QardioMD services comply with HIPAA laws and the European Union Data Protection Directive. User data is stored both locally on the user’s device(s) as well as in Qardio Cloud. We only record information that we strictly need to operate our products and services. Transmission of information is protected with military grade AES 256 bit encryption in server facilities that meet the highest industry standards in security, monitoring, and access.

Users can terminate use of our products or services at any time and, if requested to do so, we can delete user data from our systems (to do so, simply make a request via the support channels provided to the right of this article).

If and while you do use our products or services and have an account registered with Qardio, you are subject to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy

If you have any suggestions on how we can improve, please let us know. We are on a mission to make heart health easier, smarter, and better for everyone.
